The 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid gets 34 miles per gallon city and 30 highway; as far as SUVs go that’s very impressive and that ranks up there with gasoline-engine compact cars. This compact SUV is redesigned for 2008 and it comes with AWD, or the customary front-wheel drive.
New and Improved
Changes have come in 2008 for the Mariner in the form of a redesign. Also, there is the new standard AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control (RSC®) that is a brilliant safety feature on this compact SUV.
Standard Features
There are a variety of standard features on the 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid. It has the16-inch alloy wheels, an in-dash CD changer with an MP3 player input jack, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and power driver’s seat.
Optional Features
Mercury packages its moonroof and Sirius Satellite Radio as the “Moon and Tune” option, not a bad idea. It has a 7-speaker sound system and DVD navigation system that are excellent optional upgrades. Another pleasant additional feature is the Intelligent 4WD System Roof-rack with cross bars. The Mariner has some useful options that SUV lovers will enjoy.
Why We Like It
The Mercury Mariner might be not that well known, but it has a loyal and popular following. Consumers tend to like the look and feel of the SUV, and see the hybrid aspect as the icing on the cake. A loveable SUV that provides you with hybrid tax credit is a pretty good deal.
