Cadillac introduces its Cadillac Hybrids, which will deliver the same full-size luxury current owners already love, but with greatly improved fuel economy and a much smaller carbon footprint. Supplementing their 6L V8 engine with two electric motors, GM has increased the Cadillac hybrids mileage by an astounding 25 percent. With power-train technologies similar to other hybrids, Cadillac hybrid models will shut down engine cylinders when they're not needed and operate entirely on electric power whenever possible. All this delivers Cadillac hybrids with unchanged exteriors offering an exceptional 20 mpg city and 22 mpg highway.
